A Highlight from Our Fabrication Shop: Stainless Steel Carts for Medical and Hospitality Environments
At KMK, we’ve often got cool and unique fabrication projects going on in our shop, like the metal racks used to hold oxygen tanks and other important equipment for hospitals, or clean, colorful display racks for use in retail locations. This week, we’re taking a look at one of the most recent projects we’ve taken on for a client in medical and hospitality equipment manufacturing, a new stainless steel cart that’s designed to be a versatile solution for a variety of environments.
A Case Study in Carts
Recently, KMK was contracted to fabricate a stainless steel cart that featured an attached mop bucket and could easily fit in a variety of different settings. Our client designed the cart to be both practical and durable, choosing stainless steel for its corrosion resistance and how easy it is to keep clean. The mop bucket can fit most standard mops, and provides a separate location to hold a mop so that the user doesn’t need to haul an additional cart or worry about potentially contaminating the rest of the contents. The cart itself is large enough to hold any supplies that a maid or janitor might need in the medical or hospitality sectors, while being easy to maneuver in any space.
KMK has manufactured a wide variety of metal carts and racks for our customers, combining our expertise in wire, tube, and sheet metal fabrication to build each one according to the customer’s design. This particular stainless steel cart was simple enough for our team to build and assemble all in-house. Then, we packaged the cart per the customer’s specific option requests, and shipped it directly to the end-user on their request, who was happy with the results.
